The Saroj Devi memorial Inter-School English debate was organised on 22nd September , 2017 in the premises of St.Petr’s College. The heat of the discussion was ‘News today is high on sensationalism and low on substance’. Around 6 eminent school of the city participated in it. It was a tough competition as all the debaters battled it out to give their best. Out of all the schools, the students of our college emerged the first runner ups from both the motions, Shlok Tandon, speaking ‘for the motion’ and Ronak Dhawan speaking ‘against the motion’ bagged the second prize.
Arushi Gulati and Manas Tewari from St.Paul’s college won the first positions in their repective motions. The best speaker award was shared by Arushi Gulati and Manas tewari. Our College were declared the first runner ups of the debate and St.Pauls’ emerged as the champions. The students were trained by Mrs. Geetika Paliwal.
