The Dorilal Agarwal (DLA) Memorial Inter- School English Debate was organized on 20th
September, 2018 in the premises of St. Peter’s College. The heat of the discussion was
‘Manmade disasters are more harmful than Natural disaster’ Around 8 eminent school of
the city participated in it. It was a fierce competition as all the debaters were
determined to give their best.
Out of all the schools, the students of our college emerged victorious from both the
motions. Abhineet Maurya, speaking ‘for the motion’ and Kalptaru Agrawal speaking
‘against the motion’ bagged the first prize. The Best speaker or also more popularly
known as’ Voice of the youth’ award was awarded to Abhineet Maurya. Our college was
declared the overall champions of the debate.
